Saint John Vianney is blessed with an active and thriving community. With over 60 different ministries, programs and activities, there is a way for all to express their faith through worship, sacraments, education, service, outreach and fellowship. Completing the SJV Community Center is an important part of providing a place for the growth and continuation of our active parish life, church, school, greater community.

The Our Community, Our Center Campaign is not just about a building. It’s about building community. It’s about uniting together to build something bigger than just one person, or one group of people, could do alone. It’s about providing a place that will breathe new life into the parish and surrounding areas, carrying forth the message of faith and service that is the Saint
John Vianney community.
 

NUESTRO CENTRO 

San Juan Vianney ha sido bendecido con una comunidad activa y creciente. Con mas de 60 distintos ministerios, actividades y programas, hay medios para que todos expresen su fe por medio de la oracion, los Sacramentos, la educacion , los servicios a los mas necesitados y la camaraderia. Completar el Centro Comunitario de SJV es una fase importante para proveer un lugar seguro para el crecimiento y continuidad de nuestra activa vida parroquial, Iglesia, escuela y la comunidad en general.

La campana Nuestra Comunidad, Nuestro Centro Comunitario, no es solo cuestion de un edificio. Espara la edificacion de nuestra comunidad. Es para unirnos y juntos edificar algo mas grande que una persona o un grupo de personas podrian hacer solas. Se trata de proveer un lugar que respire vida nueva en las areas vecinas a nuestra parroquia, llevando un mensaje de fe y de servicio que refleje la comunidad de San Juan Vianney.

CONTINUING THE COMMUNITY OF SAINT JOHN VIANNEY

Just over a year ago, Phase I, the exterior of the Community Center was completed. The parish raised and borrowed almost $5 million to complete the exterior of the Community Center and we are grateful to the many, many parishioners that made this possible though gifts of time, talent and treasure. The building is stunning, yet practical, blending in with the existing architecture of the church, school and parish offices.

However, in its current state, the Community Center is not useable. The interior of the facility needs to be completed, including electrical, plumbing, dry wall, HVAC systems and finishes such as flooring, kitchen facilities, appliances and fixtures. There are highly experienced individuals at all levels overseeing the completion of this project, including construction, design, budgeting, and campaign management. Sound fiscal management is a top priority. We are fortunate in that certain construction can begin as funds allow, enabling us to realize the timely reality of the Community Center, ideally during 2011. The community is already planning for its use.

CONTINUANDO LA COMUNIDAD DE SAN JUAN VIANNEY

Hace poco mas de un ano, la primera fase, el exterior del Centro Comunitario, se complete. La parroquia con la ayuda de colectas y prestamos logro reunir casi 5 millones de dlrs. para completer el exterior del edificio, por lo cual estamos muy agradecidos a los numeroso parroquianos que hicieron posible este logro a traves de sus donativos de tiempo, dinero y talento. El edificio quedo practico e imponente, combinando con la arquitectura existente de la iglesia, escuela y oficinas de administracion.

Sinembargo, en su estado actual, el Centro Comunitario no se puede usar. El interior tiene que completarse, incluyendo la electricidad, plomeria, paredes, los sistemas de aire acondicionado y calefaccion, el acabado de los pisos, cocina, aparatos electricos y muebles. Hay muchas personas de gran experiencia en diferentes areas y niveles supervisando el terminado de este plan, incluyendo construccion, diseno,presupuestos y manejo de la campana. El manejo fiscal es de alta prioridad.
Afortunadamente ciertos aspectos de la construccion pueden iniciarse conforme los fondos lo vayan permitiendo, capacitandonos para hacer en tiempo del Centro Comunitario una realidad. Idealmente durante el 2011. La Comunidad ya esta planeando su uso.
